Comments:

Saw Kristen before the start, so we chatted a bit. She took off right away and dropped me. She's way too fast for me.

I ran with Andy and two girls that I run with on Saturday mornings. Much faster pace. I was trying to beat 35 minutes, but I started off a little too fast for that to happen. The course is kind of hilly and it gets crowded in the cul de sac turns. There was a water stop about half way through, so I got a cup of water. I was having problems with my shoes hurting for the second half of the race, which did not help the situation at all.

Around mile 3, Kristen, Sugar Daddy, the Monkeys, and Chewy the dog were waiting and cheering for us. That was great. When we turned into the finish, I sprinted ahead of Andy and outkicked him at the very end. I was entertained. I think he might get me back next week.
What would you do differently?:

Start off a little slower and have faster laps after.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around, ate some pretzels and gatorade. Chatted with everyone.

Event comments:

It's a small 5k in a neighborhood. Not the fanciest race, but it's cheap and well run. People out in the neighborhood come out and cheer. Very fun race.

Awesome job Jen.  That sounds like a fun group of races to do.  Good luck next week to you and Kristen.
