My left heel is killing me.  It feels kinda like a stone bruise.  Any ideas what it could be?

Plantar fasciitis?  Might have a spur there.  How tight are your calf muscles?

All of the time?  Or just when you first stand up?  If the first, it probably is just a bruise that will go away.  If the later, plantar fasciities.  Sorry dude.

VERY!  But, only when I run.  I don't have any tightness when I ride.

Well then, that's probably the cause.  You need to stretch religiously.  Hamstrings, calf muscles, others.  Start doing your homework now, learn all the stretches you can do.  Do the stretches throughout the day, every day.  I stretch before, during and after on runs.  Before and after cycling.  When I get up.  When I go to bed.  Best stretch for calf muscles is where you lean against the wall with one leg back, but be sure to keep the heel down (not lifted up otherwise you are not getting the full stretch).  There are many other stretches, but you've got to do them.  If you can nip it in the bud now and stay stretched out, the pain will eventually fade.  Some people wear a contraption that keeps their calf muscles stretched when they sleep, too.

PF and achilles tendonitis are both common problems.

Try massaging your the bottoms of feet a couple times a day with a tennis ball, frozen water bottle or what ever you have handy, your calves too. This helps sometimes and is worth a try

Been there for the last two months, finally getting better.  I kept telling myself stone bruise until I finally pushed too far in a race while wearing racing flats.  It is worth becoming committed to using inserts and throwing out the rotten insoles that most running shoes have.  Get good insoles as soon as possible and try not to walk around bare footed.  Rockrunner is right also about the cold bottle through your arches.  Ice Ice Ice.  The pain shows up at the attachment points (tendons) because of the tightness through the insole or in the calf as stated above.

Good luck.
