Subject: Forerunner 305 Heart Rate Monitor Not Working
After many test runs, fiddling with the battery, etc, I cannot get mine to work. I had to get a smaller strap to get it snug around my waist and I believe it is tight enough to make contact and get a reading. I'm wearing it right beneath my sports bra. Anyone else have an issue with getting theirs to work? Am I misusing it somehow?

Did yours used to work and then stopped? My HRM stopped working on the run right before my Garmin 305 died for good and had to send it in for a refurbed unit. Make sure your 305 is configured for a HRM. Maybe you need to do a hard reset on the 305.
