I'm hooked. I've read "Tales from Margaritaville" and "A Salty Piece of Land" (has to be read in that order) as well as "Swine Not". There are 8 more books out there to read... Not to mention his music! Plus, I have tickets to see him and the Coral Reefer Band next month... obsessed maybe?

Haven't read "Swine Not"  other two were good.  Don't forget about "Where is Joe Merchant."

Love his music....love his concerts.  But haven't read his books yet.  I have "A Pirate Looks at 50" on my bookshelf....just havent' gotten around to reading it yet.  I figure I should probably read "A Pirate Looks at 40" first.

I'd be pretty happy if every copy of 'Margaritaville' spontaneously combusted.

I've read "Margaritaville" and ""Pirate" and both are fine, but his books pale in comparison to his music...the music just takes you to another world.

"Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes" is one of the two greatest songs (ditto on the album) of all-time. It's hard to beat a warm summer evening, your favorite beer, a cigar and Jimmy on the stereo.

Like Neil Diamond, people either love him or hate him... there is no middle ground.

I'm in the Haters Camp. Cool But hey, I like Rush.

Well, I know you well enough to know that you have no taste.

I loved Joe Merchant, as well as ASPOL, and I love reading the last one to my kids, they always love hearing what a high society pig is thinking. There are other good books with very simmilar writing and themes, check out Pirates of Pennsacola. Or for a good, fun to read book on pirates, check out "Under a red flag".
