I wouldn't count on good weather based on what we have had already this summer.

I'm in!  Not hopeful for better weather either.  I think I'll bring snow boots for the wait for the swim waves!

hahaha, can always cross the fingers, the snow boots thing may not be a bad idea though.

I'm doing this one too.    I usually do the Olympic distance but this year I'm going to have some fun with the Sprint.
I'm excited but also as it marks the end of the season around here, a little sad too

I am in for the sprint this year.  Anyone know what the lake temperature is?  Gotta be about 60 with those cold nights.

Your brother keeps the ice from forming in the swimming channel!

Hey!  I will look for you...look for me I will be in the wetsuit and green swim cap Smile

I have plenty of time to stand around and watch you swim so I will look for your wave, you will be first out of the water in your wave, right?Wink

Jackjack and I swam in the lake this morning.  Lets just say that it gets your attention.  It most definitely wakes you up when you first get in.  But I actually found it wasnt too bad once we got going for a bit.  Just don't stop and linger.  Not fun doing that.

I will be doing the sprint and riding an old school red and white Lemond.  If anyone sees me feel free to say hello.  Good luck everyone, I am off to pick up my race packet.

Looks like it might be a little "chilly" tomorrow morning. What's everyone wearing on the bike? I'm wondering if my wet tri top might not be enough.

I was thinking the same thing and picked up a pair of arm warmers at tri walking and running this morning. That way if I get too hot I can just throw them in the back of my tri jersey.

Well this was my best race of the season. I wanted to break the top 20. Ended up 18. What did everyone think of the "swim"? I was disspointed people ran most of the swim. Maybe they should swim line youn need to swim from.

the swim was horrible.  i may have been one of the only ones in 25-29 M sprint that swam the majority of the course...at least i had legs left for the bike and run

I was in that group too.  I thought I was swimming well when I was 2nd or 3rd about 3/4 of the way out to the first buoy.  I turned around and saw the entire group about 10 yards behind me just walking through the water.  It was a little dissapointing to see that.

Looked at most and noticed I can't type. I thought there should be a swim line where everyone needs to actually start swimming. I know people where wasting their legs running/walking in the water. Just wonder how well they would have swam.
