Swim
Comments: First out of water. Better previous swim at same lake by 34 sec. and decrease my 100 yds seim average from 1.56 to 1.48. Had some difficulty breathing with the wetsuit again. Feels like it restrictig my breathing. Just not used to it. Swallowed soem water right before bouy 1. Had a hard time from the first bouy to the middle between bouy 1 and two. A guy passed me so I began drafting off hm and was able to get back into a good pace. Ended up taking it home real well and was first out of the water for our group What would you do differently?: Need to do more open water swim with a wetsuit. Need to get used to wearing it more and swiming in one. ONly second swim with one. Transition 1
Comments: Bettered my T1 time by 29 seconds from last race at the same lake so it is a great comparison. What would you do differently?: Maybe try to bike with no socks. Bike
Comments: Pushed it pretty hard. Bettered my MPH rate from 17:73 to 18:85. What would you do differently?: Need to bike more and build more power. Although I am happy with where I am at right now. Transition 2
Comments: No real issues here. Bettered my previous T2 by 37 sec. at the same venue. I did walk some while going out of Tran. to stretch my calves before beginning to run. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Everything went pretty smooth, Run
Comments: Just not fast enough. Need to develop better speed and stamina to run faster for longer distances. What would you do differently?: Need to do more running. Post race
Warm down: Drank alot of fluids. Thought about a massagge but watned to get home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Actually bettered my previous time by 4:59 sec. Age Group Rank = 2/2
Up at 4:30. Ate a couple bananas, mixed nuts with dried fruit and granola and a half- bagel with peanut butter. Stopped an got a mocha at starbucks. Got to site around 6:00 am set-up transition.
Jogged and stretched and down to the lake for a quick warm-up swim.
