Apparently the Austell LTF feels it's ok to have way too much chlorine in their pool to the point where the granuals are not dissolving.  Calls to corporate are met with a "Too Bad" type attitude, so I'm told.

Are there any pool's other than LTF in the area?  We're talking E/W connector area.

Thanks.

Not totally in the area your looking for, but you could check out a few of the Cobb Aquatic Center pools-

http://prca.cobbcountyga.gov/aquatic.htm

They have pools in Marietta, Powder Springs and Austell...nice facilities and you can pay per swim or buy an annual pass.

I am fairly certain that the LA Fitness on the E/W connector has a pool.  It may be only 20y.

I think that's the Austell location that eats your skin from the hig levels of chlorine.

That's correct.  It's LA Fitness, not Life Time Fitness that is the problem.  Apparently you can see the granuals they use to chlorinate at the bottom of the pool still.

Sorry for the confusion.

My office is in Smyrna. I swim at the LAFitness at Akers Mill and do not have a problem with the chorine there.  Kevin Spengler swims there too on occaision.  That is not real far from the east/west connector.

I've been swimming at City of Atlanta's Adamsville Natatorium and that's not too far from Smyrna. The pool is set up with 50m lanes which I find awesome. The facility is older and not in the best neighborhood but I've never had a problem there and I know the Atlanta Tri Club has numerous members using the facilities. The pool hours aren't the best but the price is cheap.

The Y has a facility off of Moores Mill Rd which isn't too far from Smyrna. I don't know much about the facility and know when I looked into it, I found the cost to be a bit high for me.

I used to swim at the LA Fitness at Akers Mill and generally had decent chlorine levels there.  I don't think the pool was really 25 yds long but its got to be close.

I think memberships vary, but I only pay $24 a month that I got through work years ago.

It was about 35 for me, but I actually stopped going bc I swim at Adamsville instead ( as a member of atc) It is awesome there and usually not super crowded.
