Is CP open to traffic Friday afternoon around 2ish? Can you get a good quality 1:30-2 hr ride in at that time?
Thanks

East Drive opens to traffic at 3pm-7pm so worth trying to get the ride in before then if you can. Usually it is not too bad even once the traffic has started, but right now they are resurfacing the East Drive so bike lanes, etc. are not quite so clear.

Right now with the drives being repaved and being that we are in the middle of the Summer I would say to try and get there a little earlier to get a quality ride in. That's just my opinion though. I try to ride at either 12pm or 9 pm.

It really depends on how hard you want to ride though, and how much weaving you want to do.

I realize traffic around NYC is brutal, but rightly or wrongly, it drives me nuts that they allow cars in Central and Prospect Parks.
