Subject: Route Elevation - Garmin Uploads

Follow up to a previous post:

Seems I get bad data points whenever I use the Garmin to upload a long route. You had suggested selecting "show data points" to find bad data points . . . but I don't see that option. Even if I could see it . . . would it be possible to edit the data point without once the entire route has been uploaded?

I guess what I'm asking is that if I want elevation, it's looking like I have to hand enter the route and check for bad data points as I do so . . . rather than use the Garmin. Is this correct?

You need to go into Edit mode to change the route. Click on the button labeled "E" next in your Route Manager.
I mistyped the directions. "Show Points" won't display in Edit mode. To edit one, just drag it a bit. That will force a new query of the USGS database for the new location.
