Hey MA BT'rs!!!  Unfortunately today I realized that I will not be able to compete in the Timberman HIM on August 23rd.  As some of you know I was hit by a car while training, 3 weeks ago and the healing process isn't going as fast as I thought it would.  I was hoping that I would bounce right back and be ready for race day, but that's just not the case.  With that said, I'm looking to sell my bib # for the 70.3.  Registration cost me $230 and at this point, I'm ready and willing to take best offers to help recoup some of the sunk cost.  If you are interested in racing Timberman, please PM me.

John

TOTALLY not ok to do this.  Very clear on the Timberman website - NO TRANSFERS.

-whoever you 'sell' to will not be able to pickup the race packet - need picture ID and USAT card
-if you pick it up and give it to them, they race as you - get caught both are banned from USAT for some lengthy amount of time.
-big liability to KEJ - and whoever races - NO INSURANCE COVERAGE.  if something happens to the person racing there is no insurance coverage.

You may want to send a email to Keith the race director to see if anything can be done. If I  recall correctly he was hit by a Fed Express truck once.

Thanks for keeping me honest on this. Definitely not worth the consequences. Next time I'll check the website first. Just bummed because I realized today that I won't be ready to race. John
