Subject: What are your thoughts on this bike?
I am in the process of finding a bike to purchase. I am completely new to triathlon and do not know much about selecting bikes. I would like your opinion on this one. The link is the picture and the information below it regards to the bike in the photograph. I am on a budget.

Fantastic entry point bike for high-end race bikes, great for both road racing and triathlons without spending $$$$. Comparable TREK, OPUS, and GAINT bikes sell for $1400 plus tax. We are looking for $550 (or best offer) for this new road bike.

Never heard of the brand so I googled it.  It appears to have come from Costco and has an MSRP of $399.  Usually an aluminum frame with Tiagra at that price would be a great deal, but I'm leary of bikes put together by big box chain stores as opposed to a real bike mechanic.  I would pass unless they want to lower the price way down.

Check Craigslist and The forums here for a deal. I'm weary of a Costco bike and for only a bit more than $500 you could have a Tiagra equipped new name brand bike. Could be an ok bike, but I agree, it needs to be a bit cheaper to be a "deal"

Also, get a good fit. A great deal is terrible without a good fit.

Thank you all,

I decided against this bike, and purchased a Trek 1.5 instead which I am ecstatic about! I decided to splurge and get a good bike. ;P

Thank you for your input
