Anybody whose registered to do Lobsterman (or even anybody who isnt for that matter) and interested in swim, biking, and/or running the course, I will be heading up to Freeport on Saturday to work through the course.  Thinking about maybe trying to get started around 7ish.  Let me know if youre interested.  The more, the merrier!

I am doing the Lobsterman Tri. I plan on swimming the course (or at least part of it) on Sat. High Tide is 12:30. When were you planning on doing the swim?

This is my first Olympic distance tri and I am a slow swimmer - so we are probably not well matched - I see you have done a lot of races. I have trained a lot in open water, but not in the ocean. This will be my first ocean swim. Regardless, if you see someone swimming with a kayaker, it is me.

if it were not 2 hours from home,  I would love to come up and look at the course. Instead, I will be looking at doing it blind. I have heard too many good things about this race not to do it at least once. Hope to see you on race day. I plan on wearing my BT cycling shorts with my TriFury tri shorts.

It is about that far for me, but I happen to be down that way for a wedding on Sun, so I am taking advantage. I am excited for the race - hope to see you there. I am not sure what I am wearing yet, probably black tank with a blue skirt race belt.

Good luck and train hard!

We will probably try to ride the course starting around 7, then do at least part of the run after than  and give the tide some time to come in.  I would estimate getting into the water between 9-930?

Might ride the Lobsterman course (20 miles of it) tonight wednesday 9/9 at 6:00pm. I'll be leaving by the store and church on South Freeport road if any one wants to ride.

Hey how was your ride?

I swam a good part (~.75 mile?) of the course the other day during high tide...murky with seaweed. But not as cold as I expected. Being an inland (lake swimming) Mainer, the murkiness and saltiness was a little unsettling at first, but I got over it...

Good luck to all in the race!
