what do you wish they brought with them?

I'll be manning the Sunrise Tri tent/booth at this weekends Westchester Toughman Half Ironman and want to make sure we're well prepared.

We plan on bringing the usual suspects, tubes, tires, water bottles, gels, etc and some other items that are specific to our shop (regarding our professional dynamic bike fitting).

What do you wish you could pick up last minute, or at a good deal from race expos??

Tri-allens, multi-purpose tools are always handy.

Bar wrap with bar end plugs.

Lots of Body Glide.

Sound stoopid but we are talking about an Expo, right?

At one race this year I forgot my HR monitor ... and I really wanted one to use as a tachometer on the bike to make sure I was not burning too many matches for the run.  If you have one or two to sell then you might be surprised to see them go quickly.

If you are talking bike tech support then the above sounds great.  You might want to add skewers as those can easily be forgotten when switching out training for race wheels.

Last year in Philly, I lost my sunglasses on the ride from the hotel to transition before the race.  I ended up grabbing a pair from lost-and-found, but if the LBS had some I might have considered just buying a new pair.

If it is a tri where you check your bike the night before, then bike covers.

Arm/knee warmers
The yellow thingies that go in the top of the aerobottles and the rubber bands that hold them in place.
Magnets (people forget to swith them from training to race wheels)
Body Glide and Saddle Lube.

I have a tri this weekend and hope that some LBSs are there with some displays on winter training products.  As this is my first year, I love to see what is available now that the summer is coming to an end.  I think this is even more relevant if there is a try-a-tri during the event.  Stuff like cold weather clothing, trainers and trainer accessories.

Swim goggles.  I forgot mine once and had to buy a pair before the race.  Even though they didn't work as well as mine, they were a LOT better than nothing!

From my list of things I forgot or wished they had at the race: Body glide (yeah I know - again), race number/fuel belts, those sore nipple cover thingies, Vittoria Pit Stop. And if you had the ability to take credit cards that would be a major bonus to the cash-challenged out there (like me).
