Just curious if any of you who used the myathlete gps device had any feedback about how it worked and if you would use it again?

I would use it again though it was not without some flaws.  In some of the tall buildings and under the canopy on the run course, the signal was lost and then it just stopped tracking 1.9 miles from the finish, though it worked again after I finished.

My family found it very useful to know where I was.

I would not use it for short distance stuff though.

I'll echo Greg's comments almost exactly. My family and I are satisfied customers, and it will likely only get better. I would definitely use it again for IM or HIM distances.

Overall I thought it was great as well.  I had a lot of people tracking me and they enjoyed it a lot.  The signal skipped once for me as well but it was just a little hiccup.  I think they should advertise the price as 38 rather than 20 though if they are not going to be there on Monday for you to drop it off....still worth it though.

Can I be the last to post to the IMoo 2010 thread?

I still haven't posted a race report.

My Sunday 2hr bike ride was too much, I'm still recovering 3 days later (lesson learned).

My Athlete Tracker GPS worked pretty well ... except that my girlfriend's AT&T service iPhone cannot get reception out in the Cross Plains area and near some of the taller downtown and campus buildings.  But, we'd probably use it again for the HIM and IM distances.

Lastly - I got a response about the IM Finisher jackets, it's below:

Thank you for contacting me about the Ironman Wisconsin Finisher Jacket.  We do plan to produce a small run of additional Ironman Wisconsin Finisher softshell jackets for the holidays.  These jackets will be on sale on the www.shopironman.com website.  These items do take some time to produce and we estimate having them available by December 1.  We will keep you posted and provide updates if these dates change.

The jackets really are nice.  I debate myself with it though.  Do I want to remember my worst IM where I fell apart?  Would I be self conscious about wearing the jacket and being seen as bragging about an IM?  Do I need yet another jacket? :-)

The price seems ok.  Were they this price at the expo?

How is everyone's recovery going?  At moments I am dragging, and other times I feel like I can do another.  I am pondering Beach 2 Battleship.  I dropped my training a bit but have still done a marathon, a century, and a few long swims in since IMWI.  I don't know what to think about B2B.

Yes, I believe they were this price at the expo. Hey, I finished in 16:05:53 and am definitely getting one for me and my husband who finished right next to me . I earned it...slow, but I finished and had the best time of my life.

Anyone know if they are going to come out with a finish video? Last year they had a 10min clip...but I haven't seen one for this year unless I am just missing it!

Thank you

I hope everyone is recovering!

I had e-mailed this question and finally got a response.  "I am still waiting on confirmation from our producer in regards to the video.  Your patience is greaty appreciated."  Sounds like a polite way to say there won't be a video this year.

I got the same thing.  I think they deleted it or screwed something up.  I want a copy of it dammit since I was in the opening scene yelling "GOOD MORNING..."!
