Hi!
My friend Kyle (pendlek) and I are planning on doing the 39 mile loop on Sunday. We can be in Madison about 10:30am. Does anybody want to join us? We'd love to have at least one veteran with so we don't have to look at the map!

I can join, depending on the pace.

I gotta train to beat all the UW people. Did you know there's so many people in the UW triathlon club that they have trials to see who gets to compete? I gotta beat 'em all!

I never had to look at a map once on my first loop ride. There were orange tape markings along the entire course indicating direction. I also noticed there were orange spray paint markings for the race this year.

I'd be in, but my bike and I are not on speaking terms right now...

Good to know about the markings. I had heard that from someone else too so I guess we'll be okay either way. As for pace, I have no idea. This is my first time so if you're going for speed records than you definitely don't want to bike with us!

I have a camping trip scheduled for this weekend, but if inclement weather on saturday cancels the trip, then I'd be game to ride on sunday. Slooow pace for me.

I'm thinking about this for the morning. I've got family stuff in the afternoon, so its morning for me. Haven't decided a time yet though.

Just wanted to add I'm also considering a shorter 25 mile ride elsewhere, doing the McFarland tri route starting from my house (in Stoughton). It all depends on my mood.

Just wanted a confirmation of who's in for this tomorrow? Let me know so we can plan a meeting time. We're planning on leaving New Berlin around 9:00am so we should be to Madison area around 10:15-10:30.

If I am am in, I will post later today, the camping trip is still 50/50, depending on when the rain decides to roll in. I'll shoot you a PM with my cell if I am in.

Well I went with the shorter route to McFarland (26.37 miles). Some headwinds from the west and south really played havoc with my speed, especially on the homeward leg. There are some weather warnings of high winds this afternoon and evening, but they're already out there it seems. Did you guys have on the loop have them?
