where do you guys park for the LA Tri

Hey Guys, Just wondering for those of you who have done the tri before, did you guys park in Venice or in Downtown, LA because I know that the run/bike ends there.  And if you did park in Venice, how did you transfer the bike there at the end of the course from Downtown LA, shuttle?  Only reason I ask is because I was planning on staying the night at a friends who lives in West LA, and then in the morn of the race, was going to bike to Venice and leave my car parked in West La to avoid paying 15 bones for parking.  However, I hear there's a shuttle that takes from one destination to another, however the ticket is 25 bucks.  Kinda wanted to avoid all of that since the entry fee was pretty steep. Any suggestions? thanks
