OK...what do you think will happen?  I think it will be a repeat of last year.  I do not think any one can touch Craig or Chrissie.  Thoughts?

agree that Chrissie has it in the bag barring unforseen incidents...

as for Craig, I don't know. you get somebody that can ride a bike and that can run somewhat decently and it may be close...Normann Stadler? Faris Al-Sultan? Chris McCormack (2007 Kona Winner) had a bike malfunction last year, and he's serious bidness.  Eneko Llanos is also somebody to watch.

I just hope it's a close race.

Until somebody can put in a run like Craig, he will continue to chase them down...he knows his game and plays it perfectly.  I think he has one more win in him before he fades.

I would love to see Potts do well, but the crash in Chicago will more than likely not allow an out of  the world performance.  I will be rooting the loudest for him.

JT - It's pretty cool here right now and as the week projects out, it looks to stay that way, even likely rain along the Queen K and in Hawi. If the temps stay cool I really like Macca (complete arsenal, can run with Crowie). On the women's side, Chrissie is too dominant not to be the favorite. Having a little Scot in me, I'm pulling for Morrison. Could she be the William Wallace to Wellington's British empire?

Good inside information...i would like to see a race...does Macca have another one in him?

I think Chrissie has to have an off day and others need to have a glorious day for her to come off the top step.  She is a beast.  I would put money on her.

From the ironman site:

"This past August, Alexander reportedly put in a 500-mile bike week in Boulder, Colo. After riding 115 miles that same week, Alexander is said to have headed to the track and reeled off 12 one-mile repeats. With less than a minute rest in between each interval, the first mile was clocked in six minutes, the last one at 5:30."

I am sticking with Craig...

So I'm driving down Ali'i this afternoon around 5:30 or so, and there are still competitors out doing pre-race runs. I'm thinking to myself, 'wow, I can't believe these guys have about 12 hours left til they begin a long day tomorrow and they're out here running.' No later than 1 minute after I have these thoughts, who comes running towards my car and quickly past in her trademark high rep cadence - Chrissie Wellington. Teaches me for being quick to judge...I think.

Winds were strong today and the chop was high. Don't know what it was like up the coast for the climb to Hawi. There haven't been any clouds out until 3-4 in the afternoon for each of the last two days. If we have a repeat of the same tomorrow, it's going to be windy and hot. Should make for a wonderful day.

I have some fun pictures from bike check today up on my Twitter site for anybody looking for some candids of some pros, the race and some of our ATL athletes at the event: www.twitter.com/wearedynamo.

Chrissie is a beast!  Course record that no one thought could be broken. Bam!  Very nice.

Crowie runs everyone into the ground (again).  Did you know he is self coached?

I am happy for Craig, but I was really pulling for Lieto to gut it out. You know he has paid his dues, and to lead for like 2/3 of the race and get nipped with 4 miles to go is nuts lol
