Monster Dash 10 Mile : Official Thread

I'm in, I'm out, I'm in, I'm out.  Heck, I don't know.  Need to decide by tommorow.

I'm in for the 10 Miler.  I will be thinking of you half runners as I veer to the finish and you have to run another 3.1!   

Bummer!  Hope you feel better very quickly.  At least you'll get your cool swag at packet pickup.

Sal, I gotta do a 12 miler this weekend.  If you had any possibility of only doing 10 minute miles I'd love the company. 

I'm trying to coordinate meeting up with a friend for the start and I am starting to realize how giant this operation is  - and what a mess the neighborhood will be. 

The "athlete village" area is by the bandshell and the 1/2 start is near there, but the 10 miler start is a half mile away and that's not even counting the parking.  10 milers could end up walking over a mile, conservatively, if they park and want to check a bag for later and then walk back to the start.  Yikes.

they signed up to RUN 10 miles, I sure hope they can handle walking a mile

Ha ha, you're just jealous   I guess next time I better start my warmup for my long runs with a 1.25 mile walk.  Silly me for not thinking about that.

Steve - I just saw the winning time last year was 1:04:07.  Are you planning to win??? How do you think the course compares to the TCM 10-miler?

I thought it was a lovely day for a run.  Could have done with a few less hills   The crowded start was rough (just trust us Steve, that's how it is back there) and I didn't leave this race thinking I had to do it next year.  Very different from the Minneapolis Duathlon.  But I met my goals and finished happily today, which is good enough for me.
