Subject: 2010 "Surf Coast Trifecta" of triathlons (Brevard County)
FYI, in Brevard County (east coast, AKA Space coast) the organizer of the Melbourne Marathon is putting together a trifecta race series.  Not sure if they will all be Sprints, but the long running Pineapple Man is.  Should make for some early season fun and something that was needed here with the 2 local races all selling out quickly.

From yesterday's Florida Today newspaper: "And the latest Varnes creation is what he calls the "Surf Coast Trifecta" of triathlons, with money offered to series champions and age group champions. He said he will partner with organizers of the Pineapple Man Triathlon, and plans to add triathlons in Cocoa Beach (April 18) and Sebastian (mid-May), for a local three-race series."

Looks like the inclusion of the Pineappleman was a bit premature, Melbo Beach Rotary club stated it will not be involved this year as they are focusing on a big 25th annual Pineappleman event. 

Wait and see I guess on the series.

April 18th Sprint, Cocoa Beach, swim in the river and should be wetsuit legal.
May 23rd Bike-Run, 20mi-6.2mi event in Viera.
June 20th Sprint, Sebastian, ocean swim.

I'm definitely in for the May bike-run event as it's only 2 weeks before the Pineapple Man. Others I need to wait and see.
