Just amazed at how far Dan has come - in 9 months more than 200lbs. it's amazing! Sad to see his friend from last season though.

That was so sad.

His friend obviously gained more weight and is just making excuses as to why it's OK to be like that...and that he feels good? REALLY? How can anyone feel GOOD having to lug around those many extra pounds?

It was sad to see Daniel's friend. What really gets my husband and me is that he kept making statements like, 'I'll get to that point when I'm ready to lose weight. Right now I have other things going on, work, yada yada.' People need to realize that you don't drop life to lose weight (obviously, BL contestants are given that opportunity for a short while), it's a day to day battle. Eat less! Eat healthier! A little exercise everyday! Life can go on too and chances are, you'll feel so much better in life if you are healthy!

I had a Biggest Loser sighting this weekend. I saw Sione from the past season at the Casa Grande tri/du on Saturday (he was wearing his blue team BL shirt afterwards). He did the duathlon, and was still looking pretty good. Looks like he's sticking with it and keeping active.

Yeah, his friend has gotten to the point that his eyes are nearly covered up because his face is so fat.  Very sad for him.

I know how hard and embarrassing it is to be super fat and try to start losing weight.  I went from playing football in college, and being big (but in decent shape, at least for football) to wicked fat (345, at 5'11") and the difficulties with coming to terms with how out of shape you are.  But his friend is right, he won't lose until he wants to, and you can't make someone want to be healthy without them having a reason to.

I think that's one of the reasons why Jillian batters at people to the why they want to lose weight.

I was thinking the same thing...when he said he felt good. Very sad.

I was disappointed they didn't show Shay at the end though. I wanted to catch her on the Jay Leno show but didn't get a chance to.

I also wondered why no after segment of shay - however they posted her segment on the biggest loser website. I thought she might be back niext week as they would bring back eliminated contestants for a 2nd chance. This is the season of 2nd chances. But then I saw that next week is makeover week so my guess is wrong.

and I found this on their site too. I am looking forward to seeing this. however you know some people probably trained to be on the special.

Popular Contestants From The Past Seven Seasons Are Featured, Including Former Winners, Contestants Who Fell In Love On The Show And Those Who Are "Paying It Forward" With New Careers In Health and Wellness

Universal City, Calif. October 13, 2009 NBC's hit series "The Biggest Loser" will catch up with some of the series' most popular contestants from the past seven seasons in the two-hour special "The Biggest Loser: Where Are They Now?" airing Wednesday, November 25 (8-10 p.m. ET). Season eight of "The Biggest Loser" airs currently on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

More than 40 contestants from seasons one through seven will be featured, showing how they look now and sharing what they've been doing with their lives since being on the show. The special will follow contestants who continue to take on considerable challenges, from running marathons to competing in triathalons, including the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, and those pursuing incredible dreams, like season five's Dan Evans, now a country music singer.

Former players, some of whom will be surprised by visits from trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels, will also share major milestones, from getting married to having children. And viewers will get to come along to the wedding of one unforgettable contestant! Plus, a special romance segment will catch viewers up with Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston Hoover from season two, and Amy and Marty Wolff from season three, two couples who met and fell in love while on the show and are now married with children.

Since being on "The Biggest Loser," many contestants have chosen to "pay it forward" by switching to careers that promote health and wellness, like season four winner Bill Germanakos, now a wellness ambassador for his company who does motivational speaking all over the country. Season seven cousins Filipe and Sione Fa are working toward their certification as personal trainers, and season one's Drea Baptiste is now a fitness director. Contestants will also share how they've inspired friends and family to make healthy changes in their own lives, like season seven "at home" winner, 64-year-old Jerry Hayes and his wife Estella, who have motivated their daughter into losing a staggering 88 lbs.

Viewers will hear firsthand from those who have struggled to maintain their weight loss, like season three winner Erik Chopin, to those who actually weigh less now than they did at their season finales, like season six's Jerry Skeabeck, once labeled the sickest contestant ever in "Biggest Loser" history. The special will also include home footage of season six winner Michelle Aguilar, season four's favorite cowboy, David Griffin, season two's Dr. Jeff Levine and season two's "at home" winner Pete Thomas, who is seen hosting a mini "Biggest Loser" reunion at his home before a big local event.

Also featured in the special will be season five winner and the first female Biggest Loser, Ali Vincent and her Mom, Bette Sue, season seven winner Helen Phillips and finalists Tara Costa, Ron Morelli and Mike Morelli, and controversial season six player Vicky Vilcan and Mark and Jay Kruger, a popular brother team from season five.

"The Biggest Loser: Where Are They Now?" is a production of Reveille LLC, 25/7 Productions and 3Ball Productions. Ben Silverman (NBC's "The Office," "Ugly Betty"), Dave Broome ("A Model Life with Petra Nemcova," "Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope"), JD Roth ("Age of Love," "Beauty and the Geek"), Todd A. Nelson ("Unan1mous," "Beauty and the Geek") and Mark Koops ("Breakthrough With Tony Robbins," "Shear Genius") serve as executive producers.

I thought that was odd too, especially with the women only in their sport bras or whatever they are.

Maybe viewers were complaining about too much skin?

I think that they both should wear shirts from DAY 1!

I still have nightmare about Ron from last season - NASTY!

I'm pretty sure we don't see the "real" weigh in .... if I was weighing in for a chance at $1M, I'd be on that stage nekkid

(or at least not wearing the battery pack for my mic!)

Someone had posted that they weigh-in beforehand on a real scale and this one is for show.

I have become pretty good at guessing what will happen based on the order of the weigh-in's.

NBC puts them in the order of the most suspense. I had said I thought that Shay may be in trouble once I saw a 17 go up because if she needed a big number to make it they would have put her up there last.

I think they do the same for the votes - the order they get the votes makes no sense.

That's a scary statement as I fear we will hear about him dying.  He looks deathly obese.

Oh, so sad I missed that.  I meant to watch it but got busy.  Maybe it will replay online?

I too was curious why they didn't do a before/after of her.

It is what it is.   You can't force anyone to change.   Lead by example and provide opportunities... but the change needs to happen *inside* before it happens *outside*

I believe that every season the men start out "weighing in" without shirts,  but later on start wearing shirts.  I know that I have mentioned this to my wife before.  My theory is that early on, the producers want you to be disgusted at how the contestants look, but as the season winds down, they want you focus on how good/fit they look, which would still be hard for almost all without a shirt.  I believe that the women will start wearing shirts to weigh-ins soon, too.

No wonder Allie was so sure Shay broke the record before they even weighed her, who would have even thought Shay was close to -17? They must not tell Bob or Jillian, I love thier reactions, those are not rehearsed!

Magnum27 - 2009-11-10 8:26 PM Jillian is mental - why does she think she should work harder with Shay than others - isn't Jillian playing the game then.

WTF - what was Jillian doing with the stupid workout with Rudy doing handcrawls on the treadmill. Jillian is an idiot who seriously is going to hurt someone one day.

BYE BYE SHAY - to much b'ing & m'ing for me.

Everyone else already said what I was thinking, but I wanted to add to the comment about the handcrawls on the treadmill.  That just looks like an injury waiting to happen.  I think Rudy knew it too because as soon as he fell, he said he was done...

In general, I'm waiting for a serious accident to happen on this show with some of the crazy antics they do (if stress fractures aren't enough)

For example, did you see Shay jump on the edge of the tramp. and have it flip over, her legs catch the ring and topple through the hoop?  Potential broken leg or blown out knee or something?  I'm waiting...

Just like I'm waiting for someone to die on survivor or some other reality adventure show where they have them doing crazy things.

So the "old people" team still has Rudy, Allan, Liz, and Danny, and the "young people" team only has Amanda and Rebecca left.  Next week it will be very possible that one from each group will be below the yellow line.

Will they maintain their old people alliance and get rid of another young one, or just kick off the bigger threat?

Liz and Danny are big buddies (brown) and Rebecca and Amanda (pink) are too.  I would not be confident of the "old team" votes if Rudy or Alan, or even Danny (if you think about it) fall below.  Liz is really the only one that I can rest assured, b/c she really does not appear to be a threat.  I think she may coast for a while w/o fear.

If they are smart in playing "the game" they will look to get Rudy out. He is a threat in the challenges and weight loss. Amanda and Alan don't seem like much threat when it comes to pushing hard to get the weight off.

What do they do when there are only 4 people voting with 2 people under the yellow line?  A tie vote is a real possibility.  Do they simply avoid it with a forced elimination red line?  Has there ever be a type of tie breaker to choose in the case of a tie?

I think last season with 4 left they sent everyone home and the 2 people under the yellow line got voted on by the Audiance as to who becomes the finalist and who is part of the "at home" group.
