Comments: Started off great. I ran comfortably at 6:20 for the first three miles. my 5K turnaround was right at 20:01 so I was on track for a good PR. I kept up that pace for another half mile, but around Mile 4, I started cramping, couldn't breathe right. It was soooooo humid!! I think the combination of the SuperPump and the E-gels I was using were causing me to get dehydrated. Miles 5 and 6 were very difficult. I saw my PR slip away, but I still tried hard to stay up with the fast people. I figured I could still come in around 41 minutes but I kept getting slower. Stomach was cramping, legs were cramping, breathing was impossible in the humidity. I wound up struggling across the line at 42:31...I was disappointed. What would you do differently?: Different nutrition, more hydration. Post race
Warm down: Tried not to throw up. I managed to snag 2nd place in AG, but I was not happy, I should have run at lest 3 minutes faster and gotten first. 40:20 was the first place time, I should have been in the 39's. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nutrition, weather. Event comments: Great awards, but not much food/drink after the race. Last updated: 2009-06-29 12:00 AM

Drank a lot of water. About 10 minutes before, I took a scoop of JACK3D in 8oz. of water, and some SuperPump250 with it. This would prove to be a bad idea.
None. It was so hot that even moving around at all was a sweatfest.
