max - 2010-11-20 2:10 PM I hope someone will start an official "watching thread" early tomorrow morning.  I'll be down at the race site cheering on, but won't have computer access, though I will have my cell phone with me.
We will get it going.  Cheering for our East Coast peeps and many other BT friends!

Done!
I started the watching thread a while ago.........someone else took care of the spreadsheet.
We are all systems GO!!!!!!

First Ironman in the books at 13:30:15.  Felt good through most of the day but the wind on the bike was just insane.  Was actually able to push the last 3 miles of the run and felt great coming through the finish line.  I expected to feel much worse at the end so it was a pleasant surprise to finish strong and healthy.  I am also surprised that I have not been very sore overall.  My Plantar Fascitis is bothering me a bit but that has been the norm all summer and it isn't any worse.  Overall an excellent experience.

Does anyone know when the finisher videos will be available online.  I expected them to be up already but I cannot track them down.

Thanks,
Mark

It must have been you that was right in front of me.  I kind of slowed down so you could cross on your own and get a good photo and then a woman comes running across right in front of me.  Oh well, I tried but I still think she finished after you so I hope your photo came out well.  With it being my first I wanted to make sure I got a good solo finishers photo.

Great job!!

I found this video of the swim on YouTube.  I actually found myself swimming by.  If you were on the wall side, you may be able to see yourself.  I am at 3:13, middle of the screen, red cap surrounded by purple caps.

Hey guys, check out some of my IMAZ photos here.  I volunteered, and I also took pictures so I could sign up for next year. I took about a thousand, but only about 150 came out decent.  These are some of my favorites.

First one is in the books, and it was great time!  The wife and I both finished, which was the main goal for our first one.  Ran the majority of the run on a sprained ankle-no idea how/when it happened, but lap two and three were run walk combo after a great pace on loop one.  So, hopefully I can shave off a good chunk of time at the next race.  A video if anyone is interested...  (the first two minutes is the IM video from the dinner, so feel free to skip it if you've seen it enough.)

Can't thank everyone here enough for your encouragement and your advice. What I learned here about training, the race, how to stay healthy, and how to have perseverence in the face of adversity is the ONLY way I could have made it. So, thank you to everyone...and congratulations to 2010 finishers.

And....good luck in 2011.

Got my ink last Tuesday    On my right calf.

Has anyone found the finishers videos or certificates they mentioned at the Athletes Dinner?  I have been watching the coverage site and there aren't any new videos or any links to the certificates that I can find.

Thanks for all the support from you guys.  It was a great day!

Have a pic of the ink?

Results book: http://results.sportstats.ca/res2010/arizona.pdf

Certificates: http://www.eventsonline.ca/fc/ironman_arizona2010.html. They royally suck.

Still awaiting ASI to finish the PICS and hopefully the FL Vids will be posted soon.
