Just signed up on-line. Very quick to signup on line so maybe it won't sell out too fast since it didn't seem too many people were on when I signed up.

Attempted Silverman in 2006 but didn't make bike cutoff.

Completed Ironman Wisconsin in 2008. Very slow time at 16:22:29. I crashed and burned on the run and hope Arizona is faster and that I enjoy the run and most of all the Finish more than I did in Wisconsin. Wisconsin was a GREAT race but I'm looking forward to that VERY happy finish that I just didn't have in Wisconsin. I was SO tired at Wisconsin that I had no energy or emotions at the finish.

I have about 5 friends that are also trying to get a spot for Arizona.

Good Luck to all in the coming year of training

My wife just signed up. We will both be on here as I will be living it with her after she just put up with me for IMFL and 2010 is her year and she chose IMAZ. At least I can join in the forum and get the tips and such on IMAZ from you guys for her as she does not get on the computer too much. Anyone surprised how quickly it sold out?

I'm in.  How fast did it sell out?  I hit "register" at 11:00 a.m. and got the message that they couldn't process my request because of "unexpected high volume," but the second time I clicked "register," which was only a few seconds later, I did get in.

I am doing California 70.3 on March 27, 2010, and my strategy is to to focus entirely on that race and then move to IM training the day after.  I figure if I have a very solid HIM base, then eight months will be more than enough to prepare for an IM.  Of course, I have been known to be delusional.

Ironman Arizona website says it sold out in 25 minutes!

In my (non-professional trainer) opinion, it would be wise to take a couple of weeks off after your HIM if not only for recovery but also so you avoid mental burnout.

I'm in! first IM for me! I should have a total of 3 HIMs under my belt by then.

Is it strange to have butterflies a full year in advance?

I am just SO EXCITED!!! It will be my first. The guys that I train with told me that this was the one for me. 354 days to go and maybe a couple marathons, plenty of quality time with Coach Troy, and the perpetual scent of eau d' pool. Can't wait to see you all there!
