Getting back into my normal weigh in routine .....Thursdays:

12/17  247.4 LBS.

Nice to lose 2 lbs. in three days. Most likely a hydration problem. Need to drink more water. Next weigh in 12/24. Losing lots of weight doing lots or cardio. Hopefully I'm not losing lots of muscle. Surprised

Weighed yesterday, 181. That means only 1.1 pounds to be under 180. Yeah!

OK fellow Skinnies.  Time to start thinking about what virtual race we are all going to do on Christmas Day.  You can do any distance that you want and you compete against anyone else in your age group doing your distance.  I am planning on a 10K and I will be competing in the W 50-54 AG.  Will I have any competition?  What is everyone else going to do?

We had a very poor turnout in the Thanksgiving Virtual Race and I really hope that more of you jump into this.

Can we extend it to a few days beyond Christmas?  I don't see any outdoor running here in Virginia for quite awhile, and won't have access to indoor certainly on Christmas Day.  Since I only did 5K last time, I'll bump it up to a 10K... M45-49.

I will try and do something for a change in the 50-54 AG.

Sure.  Shall we have the window from Thursday Christmas Eve to Sunday December 27.  Would that work for everyone?

And remember, we will have another race on New Year's Day.  Great way to kick off the new year.

Woo hoo!

I've been on Jenny Craig for 6 weeks (19 lbs down) and I decided to train for the Iron Girl sprint tri 8/29.  I'm following the Michael Pate Total Sprint Program and today was day one of training!

Terrific accomplishment.  Just keep the pounds slipping off and then the trick is to really keep the pounds off.  Training for the Iron Girl will sure help with that!

Congrats on the loss Susan!  That's awesome and inspiring!

I'm in on the virtual race.  I don't think I'll have time for much more than a 5k at Christmas, but I'll do at least a half mary on the 1st or 2nd of Jan.  Is there an athena division or do I have to compete as an AGer (30-34) ?

Cookie party last night...weigh in may be a little rediculous tomorrow.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. I really appreciate it.  I've battled my weight for years and I'm tired of the up and down.  Well, it's mostly up so, yeah.  There's that.

Jenny Craig has been great.  I've tried other plans before but I don't like to cook or measure or weigh so this has eliminated that. Plus, there's a lot of variety and the problem with most plans I've tried is that it's the same stuff over and over.

The triathlon is something I've thought about for a while.  Having something to work toward and accomplish makes it easy for me to stay on track and the plan is really simple!

I'm really happy I found this site and I hope to contribute as much as I receive.

138.0.  Have a happy weigh-in day everyone.  And now I am off to Northern California to see my grandchildren (and their mommy and daddy) for Christmas.

Tough on the holidays. Back up to 183. At least I have not gained anything(net) so far this month. That will be a first.  Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. I will be out of town for end of month weigh in but will post in the new year. Maybe I will burn some calories on the slopes.

210.  Again.  Still.  I'd swear my scale was stuck there if it didn't go back to zero.  But this is one month where I consider stable a success.  Happy Holidaze team skinnies!

172.5 this morning...ouch.  Totally my fault.  I have let the holiday goodies get the best of me.  Hopefully my body can figure out how to turn it into fuel for my next few long runs  Happy Holidays folks!
