Subject: Lap Pools -- Las Vegas Hotels
I asked this on the general forum and was steered over here. Hope you can help.

I need to go to Las Vegas for a meeting later this month and would like to get a hotel that has a lap pool on the premises, and that is open this time of year. Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks.

Check it out.  A few hotels (some are off strip such as The Orleans and Rio), have heated pools open year round.  Paris, MGM etc is to name a few. So check them out and call them and ask them if it's possible to do laps. Sometimes they will say "lap pool", but in reality people use the entire pool for fun, not exercise.   I haven't read anything about indoor pools only.

If you really have to find a pool that's indoors, check out Las Vegas Athletic Club (off strip, and I think the closest two is on Maryland/Sahara and Tropicana locations) and see if you can get one week membership or something. Although, you'll have to pay for cab or if you're going to rent a car, easier.

Good luck! And let us know what you picked!

I can't say I know all the pools pefectly, but I can't think of ONE hotel on the strip that has a lap pool in general, much less a heated or indoor one.

Off strip, I pretty sure that Green Valley Ranch has a heated lap pool.

Best bet would be to sign up for a free 10 day trial at 24 hour fitness and use their pool.  The cost?  Hastled about getting a membership and a cab ride.  The one at Decature and Tropican is probably the closest (that has a pool - but it sort of sucks compared to the others).  The one on Buffalo and Sahara is nice as well as the one on Alta and Rainbow.

Las Vegas Athletic club may offer the same deal.

I agree with Akido on Green Valley Ranch, because if they don't have a lap pool, right across the street is the Henderson Multigenerational center with a lap pool indoors and out. Cost ? $2.00

Also, here is a link to find any pool with direction, open, contact info, prices, etc... All you ever wanted to know about a pool anywhere in the world. I was actually surprised to find all the pools that my home country had in the south pacific.

I think a luxury hotel will help. For sure they have what you're looking for.

When I have to travel, I typically just find the nearest gym and ask (batting my eyes) and have nearly always been able to either buy a short membership and quite often get a week for free.
