Ate a some toast,a cup of coffee, and a banana. The sat around in the sun trying to warm up since it was only 34 degree's (BUT TOTALLY SUNNY!)....
Event warmup:

Ran an out back w/ my buddies... About .4 of a mile each way...Easy jog.

Comments:

Given that I was suckered into signing up 3 days before the race I was pretty please with my results! I really enjoyed the course. However the biggest mistake I ever made was starting off w/ my 2 running buddies who have been training for this for a little while... 1st few miles were in the 7:30 range which felt great, however I wasn't in shape to hold this for 13+ miles. I sufferred from mile 9 on.... I was hoping for a 1:40, but with the amount of long runs I have had this year I am very pleased with a 1:44.

This past week I have been battling a stomach flu, where I wasn't able to keep anything in my system for more than 30 minutes (last from Tuesday-Present), so I was really concerned about how this would hold up race day. I think it showed. Come mile 6 and taking a GU- I only took a 1/4 of it... Didn't know how the stomach would hold up!
Post race
Warm down:

Walked to the gym and grabbed some Chicken Broth, and Gatorade. Then went to lunch for a HUGE Manny's Pale Ale, and a Chicken Salad (couldn't keep this in my system as well!)....

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I am very pleased with the "results" but I was not in shape for a 1/2 Marathon. Plan and simple I should have started off on my own at my own pace instead of running with my friends who are too fast for me. This made for toture the rest of the day!!

Event comments:

For $30 this is one of the best running race's I have been to. I will definitely be back! They are great! You get more out of this event, than you do w/ paying $75 at other events!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO PEOPLE!!!

WOW.....That is an AWESOME job especially on the training and digestive issues you had.  That's the way to show us how it's supposed to be done.

Leave it to you to do a half marathon with no specific training, no food in your system for a week and still kick butt.  Nice job Steve.
