When the blender comes out typically the main ingredient is either rum or tequila with ice and other assorted ingredients.

How is a shake not "real food" or part of a "balanced diet"?...

The bear is on a high horse right now. Mostly I feel bad for the horse. Its back definitely can't support that weight.

I think a protein shake it's "fake" compared to, say, a few scrambled eggs. But that takes time & that's not even mentioning the clean-up.

Shakes are good for breakfast if you are in a hurry but nothing gives your muscle pure protein like egg whites

For me,

Egg whites "(about 7 fo them) and a cup of oatmeal for some good carbs...  The breakfast of us fat boys.  Haha

Only shakes I make are ice cream shakes.  One day I will get smart and realize that my body will perform better if I eat better.  For now...cookies, ice cream, french fries...yum!

lobsteriffic - 2010-01-21 8:10 AM Every morning (after my workout):
~2 cups spinach (you honestly don't taste it) + rice/pea protein powder + banana + mixed frozen fruit + 1 tbsp flax

If I woke up and found this in my blender, i would throw out the blender.  :-)

    Hello

Banana, Strawberry's, Blueberry's, WW yogert (vanilla or flavored), 1 cup of Fuse drink-  Then blend on slow to chop everything up. Then slowly add  Fat Free ice cream maybe a cups worth to thicken the drink, pour into a large cup and top with a little FF whipcream.
