I have been addicted for years...........Salt and Vinegar, BBQ, All Dressed, Ketchup, whatever!!
Must be washed down with cold beer. Nirvana.
And I thought I was the only one. I would venture to say that in my lifetime, I've eaten more chips than anyone on this board. Maybe anyone in the country. Like at least one $1.80 bag a day, sometimes 2 bags, for almost 20 years. There have been times I laid off them for a week or two only to go buy 2 bags and whack them down like a heroin addict that needs a fix. Yes, I have a problem. But they are so good.

Well perhaps you are the American chip king.......but I assure you i am the Canadian Chip Princess!!
Why don't you guys make Ketchup chips anyway?
How about Dill Pickle? Do you have those?

Mmmmmmmmmm.................

No we don't. Do you have Middleswarth BBQ? How about Herr's Salt and Vinegar? Or Grandma Utz's handcooked in lard? Those abs don't scare me, I'll play you in a chip eating contest any day.

If you follow my blog, you would know that I have really bad ADHD.

This makes me like a 2 year-old.
I eat whatever is in front of me.

I know where my wife hides it, but so long as I don't see it.

My problem with chips is I need some heluva good onion dip with it.....mmmmm.  I just had a salad and smoothie for lunch.  All of this chipotle and 5 guys talk makes me think I am torturing myself.

And yes Chiptole is healthy, just tell em light on the sour cream.

Oh and I'm going to try the Flavors place in Falls Church for the home cooking (hello chicken fried steak) after a 50 mile bike ride this weekend.

You are still buying fru fru, up market and name brand chips.  Call me when you’re ready for a real bender,  IMHO you may be the best of the still drinking in bars crowd, but I'm the homeless guy on the street drinking Listerine to get my fix kind of person.  Any chip will do, bring on the generic box of chips from the grocery store, the half eaten and left on the counter open for two days in the office kitchen chips, and the raided box lunches for others cast off chips.  I'll even eat the generic Pringles if need be.  Don't get me wrong, I was where you are and it's a happy place, but you have a long way to fall before you get to my level.

Ritz crackers.  Salty, buttery, cruncy. Can't get enough.  I try to convince myself they are "healthy" by putting some natural peanut butter or smoked salmon on them...but I've also been known to just kill a sleeve at a time when I'm weak.

My my most difficult "weakness" is pizza and CiCi's is the venue I enjoy most.  Pizza buffet for $4.99, sometimes I start with a salad then its on to the the pizza.  There is Jalapenos/Pepperoni, Ham/Pineapple, Supreme, Pepperoni, Spinach/Cheese, Buffalo Pizza, BBQ Chicken... and the list goes on.  Not a crust eater, so I don't fill up on bread outside of the thin crust.  CiCi's is my cheat day every now and then in addition to a place I like to eat after doing a race.

Otherwise I enjoy a few pretzels with peanut butter and honey.  I don't really eat junk food otherwise.  Some Oatmeal Raisin cookies every now and then if you can call those junk.

oh, yes!! I am even worse as I like those ritz mini sandwiches with the real cheese (yeah right!).  So bad, but i'll eat a whole box at work - especially when I am stressed.  I just can't seem to stop myself when I get started!

Since the post continues to show up on the front page (figured as much as we're all poor starved endurance athletes), I'm wondering if it's possible to redirect our attention having had a taste (pun intended) of what your favorite junk food is.

So, how often do you endulge? I say I have weekly cheat dates, but since clearly, chips are so frigin popular, I confess I cheat a WHOLE lot more (salt/vinegar + red wine = 1 happy me).

If I'm around on a Tuesday night I'll get comfy in front of Biggest Loser and eat a small bag (individual portion) of plain Ruffles potato chips.  I love their salty goodness - and no - I won't share.  No clue why I do it in front of BL.  Watching them sweat and workout while I crunch away.  Maybe it makes me feel less guilty...

Sadly I've missed a couple of episodes so no chippies in a while!

So I just googled chipotle because I had no clue what it was but everyone is talking about it... really?  A pepper?  How can that be construed as junk food?  I think of junk food as something high in calories but with little nutritional flavour  value.

I think I've had it before in chicken and maybe a dip.  I need to get out more!!

Edited to fix

I think they're talking about the Chipotle restaurant chain.

They are talking about the burrito place.  My weekly chipotle burrito is probably the healthiest lunch I have all week.  I get the steak fajitas burrito it with extra everything and no sour cream.  They often can't roll it cause it won't close.  I've also eaten 2 normal sized ones for lunch before.

*waves to all the Canadians who have just made me miss Tim's and ketchup chips*

(Not at the same time, though. That would be gross.)

I try not to indulge very often, so I don't keep tempting things in the house. Luckily for me, sweet stuff doesn't hit my crave button too often. Chips or pretzels, though, danger central.

Once a month or so I'll go to a Mexican place with friends and have a Friday margarita, at which point I show no mercy to the tortilla chips whatsoever.
