Hello to all,
I have not worked out since Friday, just did not have time. I did yard work on Saturday (got a letter from HOA, so I had to), went roller skating with family Saturday night. I just hung around house all day yesterday, tried to go swim, but only pool open was too small (no lanes) and filled with kids, water was also too cold for my blood. Today I just feel BLAH, maybe from time change? . I will jog at lunch, hopfully it will pull me out of this funk. I'll check back in after jog. I just needed to talk about it, thanks for listening. ;-)
Joe

Joe,Sometimes we all get those blah days. Just don't fall victim to it. It's OK to rest for a while but get back into it. The jog sounds perfect. Not to stressful but gets you moving. Good luck!

Ovetta,
Thanks for the encouragement. I know the jog will be good, although I don't want to do it. I just want to take a nap instead..... :-O

I had to double check the name of this post, I thought it might be mine. My best work out in the last few days was a few hours in the yard. I really am sore from that. After getting sick last weekend, I have not been able to get back into the groove. I am going for a bike ride today, and hopefully I feel like a good jog. Good luck getting back into the swing.

I think the training logs need to include "Gardening" as one of the activities.

I went running on Saturday -- my first time outside. I decided to run through my neighborhood (all hills) instead of going to the local flat trail. Phwew! I started wondering if one could die from not getting enough o2! Between the hills and the high pollen count, I was definitely having trouble breathing.

After that, I decided to weed the yard since in just a few days, waist-high weeds appeared. That turned into 4 hours on Saturday and 7 hours of weeding/gardening on Sunday. My back and backside are killing me and I can't figure out if running up hills did it or being stooped over for hours did it. And this is only the beginning of my gardening season! I'm going to have to start getting up with the cats on the weekends so I can get my workouts done before I'm dragged into the yard.

OK!!!!
I am back at my desk, I jogged at lunch!!!
The first 10 min I was thinking "Joe, you could just turn around and get that nap", but I kept on. I acually did my regular 3 miles in my regular 30 minute time. I feel great, I am so glad I did it. This was the right thing for me to today. If you are thinking like I was this morning, take my advise, go do it anyway, I did and my day just got better. On the way back into the building, a woman I know stopped me and said "I saw you jogging, you look great now, I wish I could jog like you" All I could do was smile and say "thank you"
Go have a great rest of the day.
Thanks and blessings,

Joe

:-(
Well it's raining too hard to jog at lunch. I will go to YMCA on the way home. It will have to be a quick workout, today is my son's 8th B-day.
