Run
Comments: This was a challenging course for me since I am not used to running hills often. I am sure the Raleigh people thought nothing of it but being from 'flat' Wilmington I thought it was tough. My legs felt a bit heavy at the start! What would you do differently?: Nothing...it went as well as I could have hoped! Post race
Warm down: After the race, I decided to get in a few more miles. Scott had to finish up announcing which meant I had to wait until after the awards so I decided to take advantage of the hills and do a few more miles. I ran an additional 4.5-ish. I enjoyed running somewhere new! What limited your ability to perform faster: The hills Event comments: I ended up 2nd female overall which I was happy with! The winning gal ran it in 18:41! Wow! Fun 5km that was for a great cause! Will definately do it again next year if I get the opportunity! Last updated: 2010-03-07 12:00 AM

Scott was announcing this race so we had to be there VERY early. The race started at 9am and we arrived at 6:30am so he could set up the announcing tent. Had two cups ooffee and bowl of cereal on the drive over to the race site.
I sat in the Jeep until 8am trying to stay warm, then got out and ran a mile to warm up.
