Dlaxman31 - 2010-06-17 11:28 AM I agree.  I'm hopin that it isn't E-man part 2.  I couldn't deal with another one of those.

Atleast its not raining like last year!

haha, that was only bad if you went out early.  It had stopped raining by the time us slowpoke swimmers went out.

jsiegs - 2010-06-17 10:44 AM Weather forcast for Westminster is 92 and sunny on Sunday.  Was a bit worried yesterday when I saw 97 and sunny for Sunday.  Lets hope its not Eagleman part 2 weather.  Also, I know they put the fast people first because logistically it makes sense, but it stinks for the slower/newer people who aren't going out until after 9 and will have to deal with worse heat/sun, and who will probably have a harder time dealing with it than the faster people would.
Good point, though they are mitigating that a little bit with the use of the 2nd pool, it looks like they're actually going to start the slowest folks there and work backwards.

I suck at posting today it seems.

Yeah, the thing is, my gf for her very first tri is going out as the 3rd to last person overall.  that just really stinks for her.

It's Erin's first real tri as well. (she did an Oly before but the swim got cut due to crazy water conditions)  I think her start time is predicted to be 9:15.  And yes I'll be wearing the smurf helm.
Just road the P2C for the first time today.... and wow, all I can say it I hope I crush the bike portion.  See you guys there!

Well, it looks like I might actually be out of the race.  Game time decision with other stuff going on.  Chances are that I won't be there though.

All you "Eagleman part deux" nacies better HTFU.  I'm sympathetic to the carnage that happened over the course of 5+ hours of hot/humid racing.  But this bad boy should be over before you know what happened!  Take names.

Rode the course today (in a car obviously) and doesn't seem as bad as last years course.  Should be fun to get out there.

Well done to everyone!  BT had a solid presence at the front end of the field!

Did about as well as could be expected.  Heart problem about 4 miles into the ride that required me to slow down for a bit and then back it off for the rest of the race.

On absolutely zero training, still top 30 overall.  I'll take it.

Congrats to everyone.  BT did indeed represent well.  At the end of the run, I passed someone who knew I was the "other Joe" so I'm assuming it was a BTer - just wondering who (sorry if I wasn't friendly, I pretty much hate life and everything in the world at the end of a run).  I rushed back to the swim area after I finished to catch my roommate and my gf starting their swims so I didn't see anyone at the finish.

I only got passed by 3 people on the bike and no one on the run.  I'm guessing you were one of the people on the bike since you started not that far behind me and I had to slow down when my heart condition kicked in in the first half of the ride.

You rocked it.  Well done!
