I use RunKeeper sometimes while I run to hear pace information.  Uses GPS to map you and can overlay a voice telling you every 5 minutes your distance, current pace, etc.  Also keeps a log of your run which you can view on their website later with a graph of speed vs. distance.  Unfortunately, the audio voice feature is only in the "Pro" version, which I think is $5.  Their free version just logs the run and you can look at the display to get your current pace information on the phone.

Can also be a pain to run with the iPhone, but I've gotten used to it.

x2 on runkeeper pro.  You can also get location updates in real time so if your running a longer race you family and friends and check the computer at home and see you location and pace.  I use it for biking and running.

X2!  Love me some Doodle Jump!  Only made it to 34,038 once.  I avg in the 17's but it is addicting!

ETA: Not tri related but an excellent time killer...

There is a tri check list.  I used it last year and found it helpful.
I accidentally deleted it havent reloaded it yet.  But it was free last year and now it's $1.99

I'm a big fan of Motion X GPS.  It'll track your distance, route, speed (top & average), and lots of other detailed info. The UI is pretty good, and the app is free or $2.99, and well worth it.

For tri-specific, I bought 'First Time Tri'.  It's ok. It created a custom workout schedule and has some good tips. Though the UI is kinda basic and there's not a whole lot of functionality.  Most of the information you can probably find here, but I like it to have on hand to log workouts.

Let us know if you find any other good apps.

I use Runkeeper Pro as already noted by others before me, but I'll clean up some details... the app is $10 and the live tracking is now a premium feature tied in with reports you can subscribe to.  I could care less about their reports, but the tracking was nice as my wife worries about me when I'm out running/biking.

I like and use the app for all my runs and cycling.  I've even started logging my swims since it makes charts and keeps track of things, they are entered manually.  Every now and then the GPS goes kooky and it butchers a run or bike ride, but you can enter things manually.  The good thing is they have the free app and if you like that the upgrade is well worth it IMO and they are very interested in growing the product.  I really like the voice prompts that give you distance, pace, etc.

Been using it since last October but not all of my stuff was made public...

Swim Planner. Definatly the best way to mix up swim workouts. Its free too. You put in the distance you want to swim and it will give you swim workouts based on that distance. Best thing if you dont like it hit next and it will give you another one from thsounds of different workouts. If you like the warm up and cool down but just dont like the main set you can just change that one part and keep the rest of the plan. You  also put in the time you swim a  certain distance (500yard will take you 7:30) and the plan is customized and will tell you how fast to swim intervals and what not.

Wahoo fitness is my favorite for run and bike. Easily uploads to training peaks for archive and from there I even sync with BT logs. I've also tried strava, runtastic, runkeeper, ,maymyrun, garmin connect. I keep coming back to wahoo. I also use it with bluetooth hr monitor and bluetooth speed/cadence sensor.

Garmin Connect, Bike Fast Fit, BT.com for iPhone. I'm still looking for a GPS app that will allow me to input my pre-defined desired route based on Google Maps or something (for motorcycle trips and bike rides) for turn by turn directions.
