Subject: North Face Endurance Race coming to GA!!

Registration just opened for the inaugural North Face Endurance Challenge in Pine Mountain, GA.  I have always wanted to do one of these NF challenges, and now its gonna be local, I'm stoked!

That looks awesome! 50k has me very interested. Is Pine Mt Callaway Gardens? Where is it? What is the trail/terrain like?

Yes, it is all down near Callaway Gardens and part of FDR State Park/Warm Springs area. This small mountain range seems to pop out of nowhere and be very out of place down in that flat area but there is some decent terrain for sure. Highest point is 1395 ft. I don't think this would be an easy Ultra by any means.

GUTS holds a 40 miler there in December.

Nat for info, the site only has the basic details.  Hopefully they will gradually be more specific to the race itself.  I'm assuming it will be in the vicinity of Callaway Gardens.  I also heard the Pine Mountain 40 in November is pretty tough, so I'm expecting this one to be a killa!

My original post apparently sounded too much like an advertisement for the race or something, which apparently takes away from the paying advertisers on BT, so the moderators were nice enough to edit my post for me.
