Ok...who's in?  I just finally registered and it'll be my first Duathlon.

Who's done this one before?

I think this is going to be the first year in 5 or 6 that I miss it.  I have not had the time to train with school and some other stuff going on.  Hopefully I can get back to training in the next few weeks.

1st off - BOOO for Shortyy having to miss the race... =(  This is where we met 3 years ago!

Kristen, barring any craziness, I shall be there on 5/1.  I did this race 3 years ago (it was my 1st Du as well) lots of fun.  We should plan to meet up there or even car-pool if youa re game!  The run is interesting (as in not too interesting haha), the bike flat flat flat and fast fast fast.

I'm considering this Du. I would be making the trip from Traverse City, anyone have a place to crash or know of a cheap/decent motel/hotel?

Anyone from the Traverse City area making the trip that might want to car-pool it?

I'm in.  I just moved back from school so I'm trying to squeeze races in before work starts.  I'm also doing the Burns Park Run this Sunday.

Does anybody know if the bike course is 20k or 30k?  3D and all of the descriptions say 20k but the email they sent out said the bike was 30k on the link.  I assumed it was just a typo...

Registering tonight...lots of Team Fraser folks are doing this one and I know a couple Greyhounds will be there too.  Never done the Du thing...it's gonna be interesting!  Looking forward to racing with more than my running shoes!

I just signed up on a whim!  Legs are still recovering from trail marathon, but I am psyched!

So, it looks like we have:

  • Kristen (me)
  • Jennifer Lynn
  • Carl
  • Kyle
  • Trish
  • Kevin

I haven't done this one before...so I don't really have a good suggestion on where we could all meet up.  But, Trish and I have the same bike: the Felt S32.  So best I can do is say that if you guys see two ladies chatting and holding fast-looking red tri bikes (see below), come and say hello.  : )

Edited to add that Trish and Jennifer Lynn will probably be wearing their Racing Greyhounds kits.

Good luck everyone.  Here's to hoping the thunder storms hold off.

Um, I'll be wearing Fraser Green this year Kristin!

Fraser will have tents set up and I'll probably be lurking about there.  they are the bike folks at 3d races.

See you all there!
