I am looking for some new Tri Cycling shoes for the season. I ride with a SPD cleat, so this will be a must in compatability. Can anyone give me some pros or cons as to what they have? I will be going from a road shoe to these.

Thanks!
Matt

I ride with SPD's as well. I tried LG's and found them too narrow for me. A friend of mine had some Carnacs that were a couple years old and they worked well. I ended up finding a pair of NOS on ebay. If money was no object I'd get the Sidi Terra which is a MTB Tri shoe. You can walk in it, easy to get in and out of and really comfortable.

I just ordered these from my LBS. I tried on a lot of shoes. These seem to be the most comfortable cycling shoes EVER. I am excited to get them. They are currently back ordered. Boo hisss!!!

If you dont plan on flying mounts go with the Trivents because they got rid of the heel pull. Other than that awsome shoe. So does anyone know why Specialized got rid of the heel pull this year? I wanted a new pair of Trivents.

I've trained in both the LG tri lites and the specialized tri vent. Currently I prefer the Tri-lites. I had some foot numbness issues initially with the LG's but that has been resolved with changing the cleat position.

I trained on the tri vents for 2 years before this year and really liked them but they stretched really badly on me. I have a pair of the new '10 tri vents but haven't ridden a lot on them because I have the tri-lites right now (long story). They changed the design of the tri vents significantly with the '10 model. They now are narrower and a half size smaller than they were before. They feel a lot different than the '08 that I had before.

They're both really good shoes. It comes down to your feet and which work better for you. Unfortunately you just won't know which one is better for you before you ride a bunch of miles in each.

I ordered the Tri Lites and found they either were too loose or the pinched the top of my foot. I probably needed the half size down but no one carries half sizes around here.
