up and at it gang!

I ran 3 miles in the moonlight. Absolutely breathtaking! That and pretty cold. I still need fleece tights I guess.

Hope to do a short group ride after school. First of the season so it should be an easy ride.

back on the tri wagon today after a very frustrating 4 days out.

15 minute bike ride followed by a 15 minute run. thought I'd ease myself back in it with a brick workout :D

2 1/2 hours of volleyball tonight. Be easier if I wasn't the shape of one!

Looking forward to a run and a bike later today - I hope.  Going to be kind of tough to fit everything in for the next few days with it being Holy Week and all - lots of church committments - if only I didn't have to work!

Ellen, are you related to the guy I saw while driving home from work last night? 1:30 AM and he was out jogging! Gonna get a bike ride today, final tune-up before Saturday's Duathlon.

"...ran 3 miles in the moonlight", cool, it was a nice moon last night here too! I was going to start this thread at 12:25 am when I rode my bike home from work, but I forgot about it until was on my way home. It is such an cool experience to run/ride at night with the moon.

Today and tomorrow are rest days before the tri practice, and I need it after yesterday's bike-run brick...

Did just over a mile run warm up. Woo Hoo! Ran the entire 14 min!!!!!. Ran the entire mile (Which was 13:25 sec., thank you very much)! Then it was off to Spin!!!! Woo Hooo! Yeah Doggies can you say kicking butt and taking names!Shannon was possessed! TWO HILLS, one was 12 minutes, intervals and yep, you guess it JUMPS!!!!!!!!!! The fast kind where you start at four paces and then go to two.Up and down, up and down, all legsss! Wooo Doogies. Half the class dropped out, couldn't take it. But I stayed the course. Yeah, BRING IT ON!Then it was off to swim. I was really fast but didn't bring my stopwatch. So the wall clock said 17 min and give a take a few seconds. We did the jumps last and that really had my heart pumping. So by the time I got to the swim I was cruising. I warmed up a lot faster. Maybe around lap 7 this time instead of lap 17. Well, this is probably the last log until next week. I'm going home for Easter. But I'm going to try to go swimming with my dad! He taught me how to swim and it'd be fun to beat him! Have a happy Easter all!

45 minutes of yoga done!
My other workout for the day is a step class later this evening.
Maybe I'll have the energy to do the abs class that follows. Maybe not.

This is tri-training???? Well, it's the best I could do today, with all my other commitments.

I bought a new bike yesterday. Does that count as a workout?

ran last night - slowest run ever (where i actually ran the whole time). 3.3 miles/45 mins pushing 100 lbs (girls and stroller) INTO THE WIND. brought rain gear, but just had light sprinkles. put rain shield on stroller which made it more aerodynamic instead of it being like a giant sail. talk about resistance training. oy.

bike today. yoga tonight.

Good Luck on the duo, Max! I am anxious to hear how it goes!

It sounded so cool to go on a midnight run, but I doubt I will try it around here. We live way out in the boonies and with the full moon all the coyotes go berserk and freak me out!! I always try not to worry about it, but it seems that it is always some lone jogger that gets eaten by a mountain lion or something! hehehe!

I was supposed to go to Pilates Class this afternoon! I love it as well, although sometimes I just have to giggle when they demonstrate the moves, it always amazes me what you can actually do with your body! First you get in some weird contorted position and just when you think that is bad enough, you have to lift a leg up in the air or something. That can get a little comical!

I was supposed to go, but woke up with a lot of pain on one side of my back. I ran a record mile yesterday and it really hurt, so I didn't know if it was hurt or just sore, but I skipped class, just in case. So, now I feel like a slug. I am doing much better....so either a light jog this evening (before the full moon!! ) or I am going to try and talk my husband into a game of racquetball! Wish me luck! Back at it hard tomorrow!

Ran 5.62 miles

swam- 1400 yard- I have been slacking in the swimming lately. The VA recently switched my Psoriassis medication and it is taking forever for the new stuff to take effect so I have had a flare up. I get self conscious because of it and don't like to swim when there is other people there.

Kevin,I understand being self-conscious but I also don't want you to miss out on your training! Hopefully you don't feel like you need to hide when it flares up. Good luck and hope you get back into the water soon!

WOO HOO! 4M @ 38.37min . Another new PB for me! I felt like I could've trotted another mile, but I wanted to get in some bike mileage. Unfortunately, the gears are starting to slip on the new bike, so I had to call it quits after 2.5M. I'm off to the bike mechanic to make them fix it. Tonight, more ab work - I'm REALLY liking this training. I'm losing some of my belly, and can actually FEEL the muscles that are supposed to be there!

You guys make me feel like I should run in the moonlight. Me. Run. Moonlight. Hmmmm - I doubt it.

Feel a bit like a slacker by comparison to most of you today. A measly 12 minute run on the 'mill and 40 minutes weight training for lower body and abs. ALMOST biked to work -- but felt tired and didn't want to have to bike home after the day was done. No excuse I know, but oh well.
