Swim
Comments: OK swim. Just not at all in good swimming shape. This will change. What would you do differently?: Actually swim more than once a week. Transition 1
Comments: I guess i need to start practicing with my shoes clipped in out of transition. Esp. at this race, with a steep downhill on pavement to the mount line ...very slippery w/ cycling shoes on). I just can't afford to give away 20 seconds in transition. What would you do differently?: Run barefoot out of transition, with shoes clipped in. Bike
Comments: So I thought I had a good bike. My computer showed 21.0 mph, but also 12.9 miles (0.5 miles longer than advertised). I think my computer must not be calibrated correctly. I'm just not competitive on the bike right now...must get better. What would you do differently?: Train more. Truthfully, I have been taking a bit of a break in my training the last few weeks. I'm starting my plan for the Great Floridian HIM today, and needed a bit of a breather before getting serious again, so I guess a drop in my fitness was to be expected. Doesn't mean I have to like it, though. Transition 2
Comments: Good transition, I guess. For this race, T2 times are included in the run split, so I don't know how I did comparitively. What would you do differently?: Not much. Run
Comments: OK run I guess. Don't have much speed. What would you do differently?: Train more. Post race
Warm down: Swam a little. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough training. This will change. Last updated: 2005-06-24 12:00 AM
