Hey Everyone! Looks like I am the first to check in! My kids were getting pretty restless and hot so we headed home soon after I was done. I was able to see Sally so that was cool!
I had a GREAT race...I really like the Olympic distance, much better than the sprint! I didn't freak out on the swim, had a blast on the bike and my run went well! Overall I am happy with my performance...no official times yet but my total time was 2:53:??.
So for my first OLY, I am thrilled! Can't WAIT to hear how everyone else did!

Thanks for all the support and hope everyone had a great time!

I made it!  I brought up the rear as expected but had a good time.  I met KZitar before the swim start and saw DavBar during the run.

I was hoping to be at less than three hours on my first Oly, but it looks like my time will have ended up being about 3:04:xx if the clock at the finish line was right.  Water was great, I just had a really long swim and my legs weren't happy about 6 miles after the 25 mile bike.  The run looks like it was a bit short too.  My 305 said 5.99 miles and that was after I wondered around after passing the finish line for about 7 minutes.

Does any one typically know when results will be posted for this event?

I think it's anybody's guess.  The results from the Firebird Tri in March that was also put on by Tucson Racing took a bit to get posted, but I though it race day evening IIRC.

I had a so so day out at TTL this morning. It was nice running into some people for BT and cheering for them on the finish. My race was another story. I slept very little Saturday night and showed up feeling very tired and sluggish. I also did not properly hydrate and I could feel it early in the morning. I tried to get some water in me but I couldn't catch up and I only had a bowl of cheerios at about 4am. I don't think that was enough calories to get me through the race.

My swim actually went well. I finished in 10:10 which I was happy with. I try to stay to the rear to avoid the kick, thrash, punch thing and the 1st turn was a mess of people. The water was nice and I actually could see feet in front of me and I drafted at least 1/2 of the swim. I've never swam at TTL and I hit the stairs and couldn't find the first step. It was way high. The run to T1 was ok and I got out of my suit quickly.

The bike started out good and I was going pretty fast on the flats but the hills really slowed me down. I was passed a lot on the bike and you could tell that people came to race today. I thought I was averaging 17.5 mph but finished somewhere in the 16 ish mph range which is a typical speed for me right now. I lost my nice water bottle as I was coming into the TTL parking lot at the end of the bike. I was trying to get some fluid in me and listen to the volunteers and I didn't make it in the cage. Oh well, 3 races and 2 lost water bottles. Need to work on that. Bike time 44:17.

Both transitions were in the 2 min range so I was happy at T1 and T2 times.

The beginning of the run my stomach felt horrible. I'm guessing I has a lot of water sloshing around from the bike and it did not like it. Just kept running and it eventually went away about 1/2 mile into the run. Ran about as much as I expected (about 90%) and had another occurrence of the stomach thing at the 1 1/2 to 2 mile point. After walking the stairs I ran the rest of the race and I was happy with my time. Run 36:05.

Overall, I expected more and wished that I had felt better today. I did finish but was passed a lot on the bike and run. Still need to work on speed on both of those but I'll learn from my mistakes and try not to make them again next time.

I think I'm off racing until Nathan's in late summer/early fall. Hope everyone else had a great time. I was able to talk to todds and whollins and I cheered on bryancd, elliot85, wwhisler and todds at the finish. I was hoping to cheer on some of the ladies but I never seemed to be in the right time to see you guys. Someday I hope to meet some of you so I'll know you by face and not race number. I will do this race again. Total time 1:35:46.

Great pics, Jen! I'm sure everyone did a fantastic job out there! I wanted to spectate this morning, but slept in due to having my hot date with Freddy Krueger last night. Wish I could have been there!

Dang I missed everyone today.  Hope you all had good races.  This race always seems to have the most unique ways of being organized or disorganized.  Actually it wasn't to bad today especially since I was done before 8:00 am.  I think I enjoy the sprints more than Oly's especially when its hot.  My watch got hit during the swimming melee, so not sure of my times.  Almost ate it on one of the hairpin turns.  Other than that I had a good time.

Kate, it was nice to meet you to!  I hope you had a great race!

I had so much fun yesterday!  I think that was my best race psychologically that I've ever done.  It was my first olympic distance and I was coming off a terrible race the preceding weekend (She Rox), so I was a little more nervous that usual.  However, the changes I made to help me on my swim (sleeveless wetsuit, Dramamine) helped tremendously.  I loved being in the second to last wave because the course was not too croweded.  My swim was slow but solid (I think the final swim time was 37 mins), my bike was what I expected (it is a very technical course for me because I have only been riding/racing for a year) and my run was not as difficult as I feared (although I am still slow.  Ha ha ha).  When I checked the official results at the race, I can only remember the swim time and part of the overall time.  Regardless of time, though, I had a great race and I had a lot of fun.

I think the olympic distance might become my favorite distance.   I came home and registered for the olympic distance at Dueces Wild (Joe is doing the HIM).

Where can I find the club results for this race?  I don't see it on their results page.  I gather the Scottsdale club won but I never saw anything else.
