Comments: I started at the back of the pack. I believe that I passed about 10 peole over the course. However, my speed is way down as I haven't been in the pool What would you do differently?: Train for the pool. Transition 1
Comments: Solid transition. Had very little crap out--which meant good T1 times. What would you do differently?: Not much--good T1 Bike
Comments: I felt pretty comfortable in the aero positions. The only problem on the bike was that my lower gears were not adjusted--and I ended up missing about 7 or so gear combos. Not good on the hill due to the lack of geers. I pushed the bike about right--not putting too much effort. I cheered for everyone I passed--which actually helps my breathing. What would you do differently?: Get my bike adjusted before hand. More nurtiion on the bike. Transition 2
Comments: Good T2. I saw Paul there. I did not have my quick release on my running shoes. That's why I didn't win the whole thing! Run
Comments: I ended up dropping my water bottle out the gate. Not good, but I continued onward. The first 1/4 of a mile is pretty flat. But then you hit the first of two hills. I decided that no matter what I was not going to walk. Then, I headed back down the hill before heading up the hill that would not end (but it was less step). After that wss about 1/2 downlill What would you do differently?: Train. Baseline fitness is way down from lase Post race
Warm down: Walked around and talked to people I knew. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training, Training, Training Event comments: This is a great local race. I would recommend it to all Last updated: 2010-02-28 12:00 AM

Sunny
Overall Rank = 32/233
Age Group = 40-50
Age Group Rank = 10/25
I decided to sign up for the race the night before--so I grabbed my stuff, got registered and set-up the tri area. I saw Lauren from work--who was doing her first TRI. Also, I ran into Coach Paul who was there with one of his newst students--who did very well.
I was 255 out of 260!
Not much--I paced back and forth. I think I need to get out there and do sprints and put the bike on a trainers next time.
