bootygirl - 2005-06-29 2:38 PMYeah! And if you are a 10/12 in department store clothes and have to go for a 16 wedding dress they have the NERVE to make you pay extra for a plus size!!!!

OMG.... Either I need to lose a lot of weight, or tell Eric I revoke all "I want to get married" comments. No f-in way are they gonna add insult to injury on me like that. It's one this to make me buy a 16. Fine, I can ignore a number. But no one, I mean no one, is gonna call me plus-size without getting their arse whooped.

Carrie... I'll gladly donate some excess

LOL. I appreciate the offer, but that's one area where I don't mind not being so blessed. Now if at some point I could've traded in boobs for some foot speed, for example, I would take that deal! Instead I got neither.

I am now picturing a cat fight in the wedding dress boutique - is isn't pretty.  Toulle and sequines flying.  How many ways can one use a tiara for a weapon?  KimJ strangling the sales lady with a veil........

Hysterical.....Glad I'm not getting married soon.  I think Tommy Hilfiger runs very large...Course buying size 4 is always nice too.  I have to try every thing on these days.  I have a 2 pairs of shorts..one size 2 one size 6...the size 6 pair are exactly the same size if you hold the waist bands next to each other.  ..its all realative...I think it has to do witht he rampant obesity in this country.  Ever been in Chicos?  their sizes are 0,1,2,3  Everyone want to be a small number ...even if a 3 is really a 14-16

Yeah, and then women wonder why their men never go out and buy them nice clothes...

That's just crazy. Like nobody can tell just by looking that I'm fat?? How crazy is that.

Triathlete: "Hey, see you're a member of Team Tri Sausage"
Me: "But...I wear a size THREE!"

LOL! Exactly the point - some people can make themselves fall for that load.......it's all about self perception and our ability to believe our own lies "I'm a 10, I'm fat, I'm a 6, I'm fat, I'm a 20, I'm skinny, blah blah blah......I told my husband once that for just one day, I'd like to see myself the way other people see me and he said "no, dear, you don't" - sounded like an insult at first , but what he meant was, we just want the blinders, we cling to them. We would be lost without them. Or as Jack Nicolson so astutely said "You want the truth?? You can't HANDLE the truth"!! And sometimes that means good, or bad.
