Dammit Rudy - Im starting to see that carbon bike every time I close my eyes.

I ride a Spec Roubaix. I needed the relaxed geometry to help with some lower back issues of mine.

However I havent ridden it in a couple weeks. Weather got really bad, then I bought a Harley so somehow my pedal bike has been a little neglected in the evenings.

6'2, 254, and just picked up a 2009 Kona Honky Tonk a few months ago.

I'm more of a cyclist than a triathlete, so the bike is more "do it all" than "as fast as possible".

Thanks to all who responded to my question.  After a lot of reading and budgeting, plus several test rides, here's my new ride.  An Orbea Triton.  The bottom pic is what I was using before, a Trek Multitrack 7300 with clip-on aerobars.

6'8  275-280   on a Specailzed Transition Elite, bike has been awesome but wheels have been my issue.  Stock wheels are ALX330's  and they will pop spokes, but after doing some research, there rated at a light 175.  Got some Mavic Open roads(32 spoke) and there bomb proof. Also picked up some Mavic Aksuim's, have loved them. I think someone else posted there only rated at 185 or lighter, my shop said they would replace them if they didn't hold my weight.  I haven't seen any issues with them so far.

Hmm no pictures right now..

I am 5'6" and 246 lbs and I am on a Norco CRD2 it is about 4 years old now. I took up cycling before getting into anything else.. ok I took it up 4 summers ago, road like a mad man and then the bike collected dust mostly.

I was going to trade in this year but local shop could not get the bikes I wanted in my small frame size. So I gave in and spent $175 on new carbon forks.. Man what an improvment on comfort. Much smoother ride now. All of a sudden I feel how firm the back end of the bike is now.

But back riding like mad (for me) averaging 90-110 km a week. Love the Fit, Love the ride, Customer service was great with Norco when I first got the bike I kept blowing back tires out.. turned out to be a rim problem. Norco paid for 4 tubes and tires and replaced my rims both front and back no questions, no issues.

I will be in the market for a newer possible Tri bike next season, pending on how I enjoy this season...
