Subject: Signed up for my first Half IronMan Austin 70.3
I started Tri's last year at age 50. I also have a pacemaker (at age 46). I am hooked on Tri's. Looking forward to the challenge of training for my first HIM. Need to work on my swim technique!

I signed up for Austin Half Ironman after seeing my younger brother take on a full Ironman in Cozumel last November. I look forward to October 30th! Hope to see you there. I hear it is a pretty hilly ride and run.

I completed a 45.5 mile ride this weekend and felt really good about it. A little achy in the joints (I'm 49!), but all is well post ride day 2.

Good luck Paceman and welcome. I started Tri last year at 59 and did one sprint before completing my first Half Ironman this year at 60. Lots of older age groupers out there at these events.
