tpetersen02 - 2005-07-24 10:19 PM Mike and Jeff, and any other interested folks - I attached an excel file with the distances for the Duke HIM bike course. Couldn't figure out how to attach it to my training log page (let me know if I can).
The total distance is exactly 56mi from my bike computer, but it only goes to 55mi on the spreadsheet.
I  put some comments in on each leg about the hills, road surface etc. The columns give the direction to turn, the road to turn onto, how far to go on that road, and the total distance at the end of that road/leg.
Let me know if I can give any more info!

Tom!!!  You ROCK, my man!  Thanks!

Lara, if it makes you feel any better, while you may currently be our anchor, you are doing great on your goals! You are only 7% behind where you need to be on schedule--you're at 74% average. I happen to know that at least one other team has 4 members with % lower than yours. So don't beat yourself up! You do what you can do, right! "Real" life has to come first.

GO TEAM YUENGLING! GO LARA

Yeah.  What he said.

Kreuser update:  Due to me not remembering what I submitted for goals, I apparently have 105 run miles comitted, not 110. THAT, plus tonight's bonus run, means I'll be done on Thursday, not Sunday.

But I'm still logging the end of month miles.

Congrats Jean!!

I finished my bike AND swim goals today!!   WOO FREAKING HOO!!!  It kicked my arse, and I'm exhausted, but they're done!!

Run goal won't be done until the weekend since I will have an interruption in my training plan thanks to 6 hours of  freaking heart tests on Friday.

I just took a quick, informal swing thru the other team's threads, and it seems that we are in awesome shape!  Most of the teams have people already saying they won't make this or that goal.  We have nobody who has thrown in the towel for any leg!

Not even heart-attack-like symptoms can keep Team Yuengling down!

Keep up the amazing, fantastic work, everyone!

Here's what some of the others are saying....

Yo team! Looks like we're in second place, we can still win this! Keep up the hard training this week.

Team Dingaling is leading?  Come ON people!  I can't carry all of you.  I've hit my bike and swim goals, and I'll be finishing up my run goals this week.  Let's get moving!!

Hey Team, let's not get to worried now.  Most of us have done about 75% of our proposed challenge in the first 3 weeks and with 1 week reamining in this month, I am confident that we can complete the remaining 25%.

Lots of infighting among some of the teams, but the few that have been able to hang with us are determined to take us down!!  5 days to go!!!!  Hit em hard.

Subject: August Team Challange, Anyone?

Hey guys!  July is almost in the books, and every one of us has had a fantastic training month!  Personally, I know this Team Challenge has been a great motivation to keep moving in the heat.

I'm currently working on monthly goals for August...planning for my best month, ever.  Would any of you be interested in another 3 leg monthly challenge in August?  I know there would be calls to break up the dynasty known as Team Yuengling, but we need to keep this good thing rolling!

What do you guys think?
