Subject: Tube and Valve Extender Opinions
My new-to-me bike with 404s has an 80mm stem on one tube and standard stem with extender on the other. I like the idea of using extenders because I can use standard tubes. But I'm just curious what brands (tubes and extenders) you all use and where you buy them.

Thanks for the opinions.

I would use the 80 mm stems. I buy whatever brand they have at the LBS. I think the last ones were Kendra. I became tired of dealing with extenders

I just used the plain old extenders, silver, no core extension, I pretape my tubes with teflon tape.  If I flat, just unscrew the extender and screw it on the new tube and I am read to roll.  No need for fancy zipp ones etc.

  I use these:

Item                                         Qty      Qty      Qty  Expected

Number    Description                        Ord.     Shp.     Bck.    By
---------- ------------------------------ -------- -------- -------- --------
13-0501    Deluxe Valve Extenders             3.00     3.00     0.00
 40MM      Removable Core  Size=40mm

Bought them from TriSports.  Work great, never had one fail in anyway.  I tried the 80mm stems but had a hard time finding them around where I live.
