Subject: Newport Bridge?
Anyone know if you can ride a bike across the Newport Bridge and the Jamestown Bridge?  Any other options to get across besides riding around through Providence?

You are not allowed to ride a bike on the Newport or Jamestown bridges.  The only way to ride a bike onto or off of aquidneck island is via the Mt. Hope bridge.  I've ridden that bridge once.  Its fairly narrow so when its you plus a car going in each direction its pretty tight.  The expansion joints on it are also pretty wide so be carefull!

Sure.  Take the Jamestown-Newport Ferry   http://www.jamestownnewportferry.com//>You'll... need to check out there schedule ahead of time, since it's primarily a "summer-fall season" system.  Mary    P.S.  I did their map!
