The announcer was horrendous.

D'oh!  Just saw this...

There are obviously a number of cycling fans who do not share your opinion of the venerable Mr. Phil Liggett (veteran TdF announcer).  I suspect NBC toned him down a bit for 70.3 to avoid any politically incorrect (but often amusing) "Liggettisms".

But getting back to the event- Raelert had a great race (new record), but honestly it was the AG results which really blew me away. 
Like Men's 65-70 AG with TWO racers going sub-5hr (Dobbins winning at 4:54). 
Or a 79yo going 5:43 (Bob Scott). 
Don't these guys know they're OLD?????? 

What really impressed me was how strong the German looked on the run. He also looked like he has sub 6% body fat. He may have paced himself well on the bike but he crushed the foot race.
