Do they make you stop racing if you race over the time limit? Or can you just keep running until you know you finished...

My race in a few months has a time limit of 2h15m. Its a 1500m swim, 12.2mile bike and 3.2 run...

That means only like 30 mins for that swim, 60 minutes for that bike and 35 minutes for the run....

plus transitions...
I know i can go the distance...but i dont know that i can do it in time...

So what happens if i dont finish in time? Will they let me complete it? can i still honorably wear the shirt? Will I get DNFd?

I'd send an e-mail to the race director with your questions. There aren't a lot of shorter races with time limits. In IM races, there are swim, bike and run cutoffs. If you don't make the swim of bike cutoff, you can't continue. You can continue if you miss the run cutoff, but aren't considered an "official" finisher.

I'm sure in this case, you can finish the race in over the time limit (I can't see them forcibly removing you from the course). You may get DNFed, but if you finish the course, I'd wear the shirt with pride.
