Power suit, wet suit?

Subject: Power suit, wet suit?
I have decided to take a crack at a triathlon later this year (Cape Henlopen, DE). I have a pair of tri-shorts that I wore for a duathlon last year.

Since I'm not sure if I'll do these frequently, I wasn't sure if it was worth it to get a power suit in lieu of my tri-shorts or go for a wet suit. I'm not sure if I want to spend the approx $300 for a wet suit.

In looking at a power suit, I'm not sure if I would like running in one. Then again, I have no idea what I'm talking about!

Any input would be appreciated.

Its my first season of tris and I am renting wetsuits when I need them. It might be a good solution for you

I bought my sleeveless wetsuit from Promotion. With the BT (beginnertriathlete.com) 15% discount, it came to $143.65 plus shipping. To get the discount, you need to order by phone and then give them your BT username.

Promotion customer service is excellent.

My local tri shop rents them. Its 25$Canadian (about 20$US) for the weekend. Check you local tri shop to see if the rent them.
