Two of us are meeting in Madison (1 from Minnesota, 1 from Illinois) to ride the course this Saturday. Any recommendations are where to start from - need to be able to park nearby? I have seen some of you start from Fireman's park, but that seems to be a ways of the course. Others have met at Olin park. This seems to be close to the course, but is there parking?

If anybody else is riding on Saturday, and wouldn't mind be followed by complete strangers, we would love to have somebody to follow.

Thanks,
Eric

Fireman's park in Verona is right on the course.

Thanks. The Fireman's Park I was looking at was in Middleton.

I always start at the BP gas station in Verona. They have gravel lot for parking with a bathroom and snacks/water etc for refueling.

Fireman's park has showers for a couple of bucks.

The best part about starting at Fireman's Park is the Pond- clean and perfect temperature for a cool down swim/pre drive rinse!

What time are you all rolling out? I have a 4 hour ride scheduled, ride around 200-210 Watts which can be around a 18-21 Mph average depending on wind and how well I am shifting f.. Let me know, I would team up with you all..

I am also 98% positive I am heading up tomorrow for the ride also. Was targetting leaving Verona..fireman park.  Leaving Chicago at (time tbd).  Let me know what the plan is; could be nice to join a few riders.  Although, I don't plan on pushing 200 watts. Sorry.

Same here. 200 watts is far too low. Ran522, come talk to us after you're past the beginner stage.

Looks like we will be starting from Olin Park at 7:30 am. If anybody wants to join us, I will be driving a blue Honda Ridgeline. Oh, and we will not be averaging 18-21 mph, probably more like 17-18 mph.
