Comments:

I had 4 flats and was not pleased at all that I did not see 1 support vehicle out to help. I had 2 people stop and give me tubes and co2, if they had not done that I woild have been stranded. I was on the side of the road 45 min before someone actually stop to give the 3rd tube to me and that is too long without fluides so there for I was dehydrated and cramping. By the time I got back to t-2 I was done and could not go any more do to the cramps and mind set. So I was not happy at all with the race. I understand that some may be my fault but i put allot on the race for not have the support and not marking the major pot holes on the course.
What would you do differently?:

not have flats, if that is possible

Event comments:

They really need to rethink this race and have more help. I know this is a tough course but support is a must on a course like this and they did not provide it. I know it is a individual sport but when you have lots of trouble like I did the support needs to be there and not leave you out there for that long to fin for your self.

Hey Will, sorry about the DNF.  It was a tough day and man... 4 flats! I might have busted a cap at someone for that!  There are other races out there! If you decide to go back for redemption, best of luck ~ I know your fitness will be there, I just hope your luck comes too!

Dude  Bad luck on the bike.  Always sucks when the road turns against you and eats the tires.  Sounds like a good reason to buy not only new tires but wheels also

Wow...... 4 flats is some bad luck for sure......  I guess good side is that your issues weren't physically related.  I never saw support vehicles either actually.

Will,
well its was great getting to meet you at gardski's and at the race. man, 4 flats is just unprecedented...... if you haven't singed up for IM Texas and want to go back to Lubbock next year for redemption, I'm in.
